December 30th Enabled Meeting: One Saved!

In my absence, Roland took upon himself a greater role at the HOPE meeting @ Enabled Ministries this last Friday.  Bro. Ed Clifford was able to assist, and Bro. Clifford sent me the following update and pictures:

“Bro. Max, Friday night Enabled Ministry was wonderful. Bro. Roland had everything under control. Counting clients and servants, there were fifty one people there. There were testimonies, prayer requests, and adevotion. The ladies had their hands full with all the children. I think there were thirteen children. Bro. Battig brought the message, one soul was saved, praise the Lord!! Fellowship was great and there was plenty of good food. The format that was developed for Friday night was followed. It was a good time in the Lord. He was praised, and given honor by many tonight. Praise His Holy Name!!”

Also, a special thank you to Bro. and Sister Spradling for stepping in this past Friday and Bro. Andy Lake for last Friday!

Great Update from Roland!

Christmas Eve is hear. Thank you, Jesus Christ for coming to live only to die for me. Enable Ministries went great last night. First of all, we did have two accept our Lord as Savior. Amen! Hallelujah!

Five people did raise there hand to Tommy Depew’s devotion wanting to trust in Jesus as there Savior. The ministry had a total of 47 people sign in. Out of these 17 people were our regular enrollees and 7 were our new guest.

Glen and I started walking Central Avenue at 6pm and had to get back by 6:30. By this time people were lined up outside to get in.

The kids were great last night. We did help a few families out with gifts to put under their trees. At closing time there were still lots of toys left over, so we gave all the kids who were there a gift and wished them a merry Christmas. Thanks for the prayers and everyones help. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

                                              Your friend,Roland Stone

Friday Night by Roland Stone

Exploding Friday night at Enabled Ministries

We had at least fifty people inside the ministry building.  The message we preached was centered around Jeremiah 17:9.  Our message brought many questions.  We did our best to answer any questions and give what advice we could.  We do wish our guests success in overcoming these tough situations.

It takes a high level of patience to witness many of our enrollees achieve their goals.  Some guests are homeless, hungry, and just ready to give up all hope.  Most people we try to reach have already given up.

Our main goal at group on Friday nights is to allow these unfortunate people to see God at work first hand.  So enabling these guys to witness the power of God teaches them our overall purpose which is: Knowing Christ can make you free.

Please continue to pray for us.  We are still in need of volunteers to help counsel on Friday nights.

Thanks, Roland Stone

We had another rewarding day at the pantry.  Our Lord saved another soul from hell today!!  We had three new clients and one received Christ as her personal savior.

We open our hearts with praise to our Lord for what He has done in this ministry and our hearts.

Praise Him!!

More Exciting Enabled News! by Roland Stone

Roland passed along this update for everyone:

“More exciting Enabled news!  This Friday night our group attendance was great!  We had a total of forty people who showed up.  I feel we have reached a group of people that God is allowing us to work with weekly.

The enrollees we are working with are all showing some kind of growth.  We did have a few guests who claim to have enjoyed themselves.  Around twenty enrollees have been accountable for three weeks now.

To be a part of this Enabled ministry growth, after only being out of prison four months, is truly a blessing.  Thank you, Grace Baptist Church, and please continue to pray for our Enabled Ministries.”

Friday Night!

The Lord is always good whether we recognize His goodness or not.  Last evening [November 4th], the Lord allowed us to meet again for our weekly HOPE International Addictions meeting.  The Lord brought eight enrollees our way again, and we were able to make some headway in the study of the Word of God.

We looked at Second Peter chapter one and studied about TRUTH and EXPERIENCE.  Our experience should grow out of God’s Truth.  The Word of God must be a Priority in life.  Many times the problems we face come from relying upon our own experience or upon the experiences of other rather than looking into the “more sure word of prophecy.”  The Word of God is more reliable than the testimony of men.

Please continue to pray as we continue to meet.  Pray for Roland as he continues to work towards his GED and continues to learn more and more about the ministry.  Please pray for the others who were in attendance.  Pray for souls to be saved.  Pray for disciples.  Pray for God to be glorified.

Good Evening at Hope

We had a good night at Enabled. The Lord blessed with two visitors, and our Bible study was out of the Gospel of John chapter one.

Please pray for this important ministry as we continue moving forward for the cause of Christ. I would like to also let you know about the progress that is being made throughout the week. Both Roland and Brother Fernandez have been able to go out on the streets in Middletown and invite many people to the Friday night ministry. Please pray for fruit from this labor.

Food Pantry Update from Bro. Ed Clifford

Here is the update I recently received from Bro. Clifford:

Max, we had another great day at the pantry.  We had seven clients,  out of the seven our Lord saved one young lady.  Praise Him and give Him all of the glory.  We all know that where two or more are gatherd to gather in His name, that He is present.  Not only was He present, He showed Himself today.  It is such a blessing to see Him work.  What a great day!!!

In Christ,
Brother Ed
