Enabled H.O.P.E. Update – 07.01.2010

July 1, 2010…Summer time!!!

A lot is happening at the center…Food Pantry is taking a sabbatical for the month of July.  The first Ladies Bible study has come and gone for the month until the end of July.  Tutoring program is ready to open up again, and HOPE is still open every Friday as addictions do not take a time off.

We added another addict to the program but unfortunately we are loosing several counselors for the summer.  Last Friday we had just enough counselors to meet the one-on-one addict per counselor.

We gave certificates to two of addicts for 5 weeks of sobriety.  Several other success reports include: Hamilton-Butler County Courts recognizing the HOPE addiction program and Middletown Courts recognizing program by offering pay settlements for the addict community commitments.

Our goal is to help the addict to be set free from all entanglements.  To be better Christians and be a part of the community they live.  God Bless the faithfulness of the HOPE workers.

H.O.P.E. – Individual Saved

Friday Night was an exciting evening at the HOPE Ministry.  Starting out with three new addicts added to our program, graduating an existing addict out of the first phase of the 30 week program and having one addict accept Christ as their Lord and Savior (Jim Battig-Counselor).

Another great report is we are crowded, no more chairs.  Last night we filled each available chair.  We may need to push back some dividers for more room and add chairs. PTL

On a sad note we also are out of counselors.  The three new addicts said, they were bringing three more next Friday.  That means additional hours at the center with the help we have now.  Please consider helping…if you can read the Bible you can help!!!!

Soon you will see some being baptized and coming to Sunday worship.  We want to have them ready and feeling good about themselves.  It’s important to love them as our neighbors and as new born children of God.
